幼稚園、小学校と続けたバイオリンの修練を中学校入学時に止める。
その後音楽とはほぽ無縁の生活を送り大学入学のために上京。

在学中にアルバイト先で誘われたバンドで甲田益也子と出会い、ユニットdip in the poolを結成。
同ユニットでイギリスはラフ・トレードよりアルバムデビュー。

その後、活動の中心であるdip in the pool以外にも多数の作曲、編曲、プロデュースを手掛ける。

2002年より７年間、那須に在住。

2009年、再び東京へ居を移し音楽活動の活性化を計る。

2011年、dip in the pool 9th album 「brown eyes」リリース。
